Floor job on an Australian Japanese-import Toyota Hiace KDH201 (Regius Ace fridge van) with a DENSO Aeon fridge / freezer (CGA 138, R134a). Panel showed F4 (cooling fuse 2). Evaporator fan motor was OK when powered directly — the open path was in the fuse / command side, not a dead motor.
What we checked
- Dedicated fridge fuse box cover C8639-44010 under the dash
- Cooling 20A and related condenser fuses on that cover
- Meter shade 5A — control panel feed (LC1 if dead)
- Inline COOLER 15A under the driver’s dash (easy to miss)
- DENSO Aeon panel codes F3 / F4 = cooling fuse 1 / 2
Why the English manual
Public Japanese owner books name the fuses but are hard to use on the floor here. There is no clean Hiace-specific English fridge fuse book online for this import. We re-authored an English workshop pack from the DENSO Aeon manual plus this van’s photos and fuse finding so another workshop can follow the same path.

Full re-authored English pack for this vehicle: DENSO Aeon safety and operation pages, fault / fuse notes (F3, F4, LC1), Japanese fuse table with English translation beside it, and this-van photos.
